Recreation

For my recreation photo I took a picture of me feeding Nate when he was a baby. I decided to do this picture because it was recently his birthday so it showed how much we have grown. Many of our qualities have changed over the past 13 years. 

Levitation

For my levitation photo I took a picture of Kayla elevating above the grass. I took out the chair and the shadow of the chair to make it look more real. Then I filled in part of the shadow to make it look more convincing.

Positive negitive

For my this project I decided to do another creepy crawly. I put a lot of detail into the one spider, and the other one I made look like it was on a web. The legs on my spider makes it look like its wearing socks.

Scribble Drawing

For my scribble drawing I decided to do a Schnauzer. I really liked this project because it was fun to just go with the flow and not care where the lines ended up. This dog looks like a mixture between both my dogs. I like how the orange brings some character into it.

Minimalist photo

For my minimalist photo I took a picture of these leaves in front of a shed at my grandpas house. I went around looking for something to take a picture of and i came across this. The leaves are the focus of the picture with the white shed as the background.

monochromatic photo

For my monochromatic photo I took a picture of a John Deere tractor in the grass at my grandpas farm. I took it because there is the green from the trees, grass, and the tractor. The tractor was just sitting in his yard when I took the picture. I took the picture with my phone.

Water Color

This is my water color Peacock Spider. I decided to do this spider because it was colorful and I thought it would be fun to do. I like how the colors looked on the but of the spider and how the eyes turned out.

animal plus object

For my animal object project I chose to mix a hedgehog and a pineapple. I chose to mix these because these are both pokey. I decided to take the shape of the hedgehog and make the back of it look like a pineapple.

Flight

For my flight picture I found a picture I took in California when I was there last. This picture was at the beach where there were tons of seagulls. I took this picture to remember how annoying the seagulls were.

Faces in places

This is a face that I found in a dresser drawer that is in my grandmas old bedroom. When I found out about this project I immediately thought about this handle. The eyes are the two spots where the handles connect the nose is the middle circle and the mouth is the handle.

Light Rays

For my light rays photo I took a picture of the rays coming out behind a cloud. This picture is of the field that is across my grandpas house. I took it because I thought the light rays with the scenery looked interesting.

Leading Lines

For my leading lines project I took a picture of the lockers. The line of the lockers down the hallway follows a straight line. I took this picture with phone outside the art room. 

For the kings and queens challenge I chose the white queen. So for my white queen I decided to make the face out of glass and add cotton balls for the hair. I named this piece of art the " White Drag Queen" because it looks like a guy cross dresser. I added a wire crown to the artwork to give it a more royal look.

Clay Stamp Bowl

For my stamp bowl i found a cool stamp design and pressed it on the clay. I then glazed it with blue because that is my favorite color. I like how some spots are darker then others in it.

Forced Perspective

For my forced perspective photo I took a picture of my Kristin's fingers squeezing Nate's head. I learned that these picture are complicated to take because if you move it at all it doesn't work. I took this picture in my living room.

Framing

For my framing picture I took a picture of Nate playing baseball in Crooks his 7th grade year. He is in the batters box getting ready for the pitch. The fence is framing Nate's body in this photo.

Shadow

For my shadow photo I decided to do my name. Then I added two crosses at the front and back of my name. I decided to do my name because the letters were not to complicated to make.

Texture

This is my texture photo of a tree. This tree is located in my grandparents front yard. I thought the bark on the tree was pretty interesting.

Pets

This is my pet headgehog names Hodges, I took this picture after i gave him a bath that is why he is in a towel. He is curled up in a half ball, because he was mad at me for bothering him.

Watercolor silhouette

This is my watercolor silhouette of an owl. I decided to put a tree in the middle because that is what I think of when I hear the word owl. I added the moon in the background to add more to the scene.

Metaphor challenge

I chose to do Cabin Fever for my metaphor challenge, For this project I drew a cabin with a fever in its mouth and sweat on its face. Then I added a background to the picture to make it look better.

New Cow

For one of my projects I fixed up my cow for state art. I added a lot more hair to the face and more detail all around. I added highlights in the face which made it look more realistic.

Mosaic Tile

For my tile project I made a somewhat of a pattern. I tried to make all the colors match as well as I could for what I had. I found the center piece first and went from there. My favorite peaces are the copper circles.

print making

For my print making project I made dart frogs. This project has three layer the initial color of the frog, the block spots, and the rock. I chose a frog because I wanted an animal that looks good being a variation of colors.

Reflection

I took this picture in the Black hills last summer when my family members were fishing. I like how the trees reflect well in the water.  I took this picture with my moms Nikon camera.

Black and White

For my black and white photo I used a picture of my grandpas burning barn. If you look closely you can see faces in the barn. I really like this picture the fire really pops.

Winter

 For my winter photo I took a picture of the tree in my backyard. I like how it has frost on it. I took this picture in the morning before I went to church with my phone.

Love

This is my picture of love. I took this picture at their wedding when they were giving each other cake. I love my cousins face in this picture.
